Grundig TV repair

Grundig is a German name with a long history, and today's Grundig TVs come with the brand's own smart system, Android TV or Google TV. We repair older Grundig models as well as current 4K ranges — from the main board and power board to the backlight.

Common Grundig TV faults

Standby light blinks, but the TV won't start

The standby light flashes or stays on, but the picture never appears. This is most often a power board or main board fault; we measure the voltages on the board to tell which one it is.

Dim picture or picture in only part of the screen

If the picture is barely visible or one area of the screen is darker than the rest, one or more LED strips have failed. We replace the complete set so the remaining strips don't fail soon after the repair.

Stripes, ghosting or noise on screen

Vertical stripes and a broken-up or doubled picture usually come from the T-con board or the panel cable. If the lines are in the panel itself, we explain the price difference before doing any work.

Can't find channels or Wi-Fi

Channels lost after an update, an empty network list or Google TV asking you to sign in again and again are usually fixed with a new channel scan, a reset and a software update. If the module or tuner is faulty, we replace it.

Where to find the Grundig model number

Find the model number on the label on the back of your Grundig or in the menu, in the system information section. Example: 55GFU… — 55 is the screen size in inches and GFU is the series code; the digits that follow identify the exact model. Older ranges use codes like VLE or CLE after the size.

FAQ — Grundig service

Do you repair Grundig TVs with Google TV?

Yes. We repair Grundig models running Google TV and Android TV, as well as those with Grundig's own smart system. For software problems we try a reset and an update first, and only then replace parts.

My Grundig lost its picture after a power cut — what should I do?

Unplug it for a few minutes and try again. If there's still no picture or it won't turn on at all, the power board has probably been damaged; give us a call or check the indicative price in the calculator above.

How long does a TV repair take?

Most faults are fixed within 1 to 3 working days. When a part has to be ordered from outside Serbia (e.g. a screen, mainboard or LED strips for less common models), the repair can take 5 to 15 days — in that case we offer you a loan TV to use until the repair is finished.

Do you give a warranty on repairs?

Yes, every repair comes with a warranty of at least 12 months, covering both the installed part and the labour.

Do you make home visits?

Yes! A call-out within Belgrade (up to a 10 km radius) costs 2,500 RSD; fault diagnostics are not included in this price. Only minor work can be done on site (resetting the device, software updates, setting it up...).

How much does diagnostics cost?

Diagnostics are free if you go ahead with the repair. If you decide against the repair, diagnostics cost 1,500 RSD, paid in advance when you drop off the device. If you decline the repair, you don't have to collect the device — if you wish, we can send it for free recycling.
