Common LG TV faults
Black screen, sound still works
LG LED and NanoCell models are known for LEDs burning out in the backlight strips. The TV switches on and you hear sound, but the screen stays dark or glows very faintly. We fit a complete set of strips rather than just the dead one, since the others are just as worn.
Image burned into the OLED screen
A channel logo, a match score or a news ticker stays visible as a ghost. If it's temporary retention, LG's pixel refresher often clears it; if it's permanent burn-in, the fix is a new OLED panel, and we'll tell you so before any work is done.
Won't switch on, standby light on or off
When the TV doesn't respond to the remote or the button, we check the power supply first, then the main board. On OLED models the power supply is a separate board that can be replaced independently of the panel.
Laggy webOS, Magic Remote not working
A slow menu, apps that crash or a Magic Remote that keeps disconnecting are usually software issues, solved with an update, a reset or re-pairing the remote. If that doesn't help, we check the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module.
Where to find the LG model number
The model number is on the label at the back and in the menu under Settings → Support → TV Information. OLED example: OLED55C24LA — 55 is the screen size in inches, C is the series, 2 means 2022 and LA is the variant. On LED models such as 55UQ75003LF the letters UQ mean 2022 (UP is 2021, UR is 2023), while on NanoCell and QNED models the year is given by the letter at the end of the series.
FAQ — LG service
Can burn-in on an LG OLED TV be fixed?
Temporary image retention usually disappears after a pixel refresh or a few hours of normal viewing. Permanent burn-in can't be removed by any setting — the only fix is a new panel, so we'll first tell you whether that's worth it for your model.
Why do the strips keep failing on LG LED TVs?
The LEDs in the strips run under heavy load and overheat over time, and when one fails the whole chain goes dark. That's why we replace all the strips at once — repairing a single strip usually buys only a short time before the next one goes.
How long does a TV repair take?
Most faults are fixed within 1 to 3 working days. When a part has to be ordered from outside Serbia (e.g. a screen, mainboard or LED strips for less common models), the repair can take 5 to 15 days — in that case we offer you a loan TV to use until the repair is finished.
Do you give a warranty on repairs?
Yes, every repair comes with a warranty of at least 12 months, covering both the installed part and the labour.
Do you make home visits?
Yes! A call-out within Belgrade (up to a 10 km radius) costs 2,500 RSD; fault diagnostics are not included in this price. Only minor work can be done on site (resetting the device, software updates, setting it up...).
How much does diagnostics cost?
Diagnostics are free if you go ahead with the repair. If you decide against the repair, diagnostics cost 1,500 RSD, paid in advance when you drop off the device. If you decline the repair, you don't have to collect the device — if you wish, we can send it for free recycling.
