Panasonic TV repair

Panasonic (Viera) TVs are regulars in our workshop, because owners keep them for years and would rather repair than replace them. We work on LED and OLED models running my Home Screen, as well as newer Panasonic TVs with Fire TV. Most of the work involves power supplies, backlights and main boards.

Common Panasonic TV faults

TV won't start, standby light blinking

Like most major brands, Panasonic TVs blink the standby light to signal that they've shut down because of a fault. The power supply is the most common culprit, but we also check the main board and the backlight, as either can cause the same symptom.

Picture dark or disappearing after switch-on

On LED models the picture appears for a moment and then vanishes, or stays dark while the sound works. That's a typical sign of a failing backlight. We replace the strips as a set and check the voltage that drives them.

OLED: interference, lines or retained image

On Panasonic OLED models we separate electronic faults (boards, panel cables) from damage to the panel itself. Retained images sometimes clear after a panel refresh cycle; permanent burn-in requires a new panel.

Can't find channels, apps not working

Problems with the tuner, the channel scan or apps on my Home Screen are often solved with a software update and a fresh setup. If the tuner or the board is faulty, we replace the part.

Where to find the Panasonic model number

The model number is on the label at the back and can usually also be found in the menu, in the system information. European Panasonic models start with TX followed by the screen size: for example TX-55JX800E — TX is a Panasonic TV, 55 is the screen size in inches and JX800E is the series and model version.

FAQ — Panasonic service

Is it worth repairing an older Panasonic TV?

Often, yes, because Panasonic TVs have good panels that outlast the electronics. If the power supply or backlight has failed, the repair makes sense; if the panel on an older model is damaged, we'll tell you plainly that it isn't worth it.

Do you repair Panasonic OLED TVs?

Yes. We repair the electronics on OLED models — power supply, main board and T-con board — and replace the panel when it's justified. For an accurate assessment, send us the model number from the label.

How long does a TV repair take?

Most faults are fixed within 1 to 3 working days. When a part has to be ordered from outside Serbia (e.g. a screen, mainboard or LED strips for less common models), the repair can take 5 to 15 days — in that case we offer you a loan TV to use until the repair is finished.

Do you give a warranty on repairs?

Yes, every repair comes with a warranty of at least 12 months, covering both the installed part and the labour.

Do you make home visits?

Yes! A call-out within Belgrade (up to a 10 km radius) costs 2,500 RSD; fault diagnostics are not included in this price. Only minor work can be done on site (resetting the device, software updates, setting it up...).

How much does diagnostics cost?

Diagnostics are free if you go ahead with the repair. If you decide against the repair, diagnostics cost 1,500 RSD, paid in advance when you drop off the device. If you decline the repair, you don't have to collect the device — if you wish, we can send it for free recycling.
