VOX TV repair

VOX is a Serbian brand people buy for good value for money, so we get everything from older basic LED models to newer smart TVs running Android or a Linux-based system. With VOX it's usually the electronics behind the screen that fail rather than the panel itself — good news for the owner.

Common VOX TV faults

On, but the screen stays dark

The TV responds to the remote, changes volume and channels, but there's no picture. It's almost always the LED backlight strips; the panel is usually fine and stays in place.

Doesn't respond to the remote

Before bringing the TV in, check the batteries and try the button on the TV itself. If that doesn't work either, the fault may be in the IR receiver, the buttons or the main board — diagnostics will tell.

Reboots and won't load the system

A smart VOX that keeps starting over or sits on the logo usually has a software or main-board memory problem. We first try reloading the software and only then replacing the board.

Dead after a power surge

After a storm or a power cut, the TV often shows no sign of life. Most often the power board has taken the hit, and we also check whether the damage has spread to the main board.

Where to find the VOX model number

The model number is on the label on the back, usually next to the serial number. The first two digits are the screen size in inches and the letters after them are the series: in 43ADW…, 43 means 43 inches and ADW is the series. On smart models you can also find it in the menu, under system information.

FAQ — VOX service

My VOX TV is out of warranty — is a repair worth it?

It is, as long as the fault isn't the panel itself. Strips, the power board and software cost far less to fix than a new TV; see the indicative price for your screen size in the calculator above. If the screen is cracked, we'll advise you not to spend money on it.

Do you collect VOX TVs or do I have to bring it in?

Either works. You can bring it in yourself during working hours, and we also make house calls in the ten Belgrade municipalities shown on the map. Send us the model number and a description of the fault first, so we can check we have the parts.

How long does a TV repair take?

Most faults are fixed within 1 to 3 working days. When a part has to be ordered from outside Serbia (e.g. a screen, mainboard or LED strips for less common models), the repair can take 5 to 15 days — in that case we offer you a loan TV to use until the repair is finished.

Do you give a warranty on repairs?

Yes, every repair comes with a warranty of at least 12 months, covering both the installed part and the labour.

Do you make home visits?

Yes! A call-out within Belgrade (up to a 10 km radius) costs 2,500 RSD; fault diagnostics are not included in this price. Only minor work can be done on site (resetting the device, software updates, setting it up...).

How much does diagnostics cost?

Diagnostics are free if you go ahead with the repair. If you decide against the repair, diagnostics cost 1,500 RSD, paid in advance when you drop off the device. If you decline the repair, you don't have to collect the device — if you wish, we can send it for free recycling.
